Class Description
The Wildland Medical Provider course is an intensive 12-hour program designed for new and experienced medical response personnel, including WPUs, REMs, and MEDLs. This course focuses on preparing participants to efficiently and effectively respond to an Incident Within an Incident (IWI) during wildland fires. Combining classroom discussions with hands-on field scenarios, this training addresses the unique challenges faced in wildland environments and aims to enhance the skills necessary for high-stakes medical interventions in these settings. Prerequisite(s): Current medical professional license Completion of S-130, S190 training courses PPE Required WPU/REMS is for established teams or new teams. Once registered we will verify that each team has the required list of supplies to attend the class. At this time, we do not have the equipment to have this class as an individual class. Each team is required to bring their gear. 2 REMS TEAMS /4 WPU TEAMS
